About this translation

This is an English translation provided for reference. If there is any difference between this translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version takes precedence.

When you use "Misskey.art" (the "Service"), an unofficial Misskey server on the decentralized microblogging social network, operated by Misskey.art Project (the "Administrators"), please follow the rules below and use it with good manners. If a violation is found, we may restrict the use of the Service or your account. These terms may be changed as needed. When we change them, we will announce the new content and the date it takes effect by posting them on this site. For major changes, we will also announce them in Misskey.art's announcements.

Running Bots

Bot developers have an obligation to take measures for bots that fall under the following items. All bot administrators also need to check regularly what their bots are posting.

If the following measures are not taken and the bot is abused, we may suspend the bot account.

  • Bots that automatically post images found by keywords using search engines, etc.
    • Filter out inappropriate images and set NSFW flags.
  • Bots that have functions to reply or make public posts based on user actions

Information We Collect

To operate the service, the Service collects the following information.

  • Email address
  • Reason for signing up (when sign-up approval is required)
  • IP address
  • Other information described in the Privacy Policy

We use the collected information only within the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy. The main purposes are as follows.

  • To provide the Service, such as email notifications
  • To review sign-up applications when sign-up approval is required
  • To warn users who violate the Terms of Service or the Rules, and to suspend their accounts
  • To improve the Service

We do not provide this information to third parties, except in the cases set out in the Privacy Policy, such as when required by law.
However, to the extent necessary to provide the Service, we may entrust the handling of this information to external services for DNS, file storage, sending email, etc. (such as Cloudflare and IDrive e2).

Deleting Your Account and Data

You can delete your account (leave the Service) and delete individual posts and files yourself, using the functions of the Service.

The Service is a decentralized social network that uses a system called ActivityPub, and information such as posts and profiles is automatically sent to and copied by federated servers. For this reason, even if you delete something on the Service, the deletion may not be reflected on federated servers, and the copied data may remain. We cannot guarantee the deletion of data that remains on external servers that the Administrators do not manage, and we are not responsible for it in any way.
